About this part
The factory power steering cooler on your 2002-2008 Dodge Ram 1500 is an air-to-liquid cooling unit that utilizes incoming air from the vehicle's grill to cool the power steering fluid. Though these designs are tried and true they wear out and fail especially with high mileage as the fins become clogged reducing cooling capacity causing the tubes to crack and allowing slow leaks. The Mishimoto Replacement Power Steering Oil Cooler is a direct fit to the OEM making it easy to install and equivalent to the OEM Specifications of performance.
